Nathan and Diana Cullen thrilled to be expecting twins

SMITHERS

Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen and his wife Diana Cullen are thrilled to announce they are expecting twins this summer.

“Diana and the babies are all doing great and we can’t wait to welcome them to our family in July,” an ecstatic Cullen said this morning.

The Cullens, who met in Smithers and were married here in August 2005, will become first-time parents.  They continue to live in Smithers, where Diana is a teacher-on-call with School District 54 and also completing her Master’s thesis in Canadian Studies.

“It’ll be hair straight back, for sure,” laughed Cullen, acknowledging his already busy life as an MP will soon be even busier.

“We have great role models with our own families and friends and are committed to being the very best parents we can,” Cullen said.

“I think having children will add even more meaning to my work as a Member of Parliament because I’ll truly be looking into the future every time Diana and I look at our babies.”

Cullen was elected MP in June 2004 and re-elected in January 2006 and October 2008.
