Making every vote count equally (Atlin)

A public meeting on electoral reform with your MP Nathan Cullen

Saturday September 24th, 7:00pm
Atlin Recreation Centre
Sinclair Avenue
Atlin, British Columbia V0W1A0

In the last election, 63% of voters cast ballots for parties promising to reform the way Canadians elect their Members of Parliament. The NDP has long campaigned to end Canada's outdated, unfair first-past-the-post electoral system and replace it with one that is fair, representative, and proportional, and where every vote is counted equally.

A special House of Commons committee on electoral reform is spending the summer and fall considering options for reforming our voting system. As Nathan continues his work on the committee, he is also hitting the road to consult citizens across the Northwest about their best ideas and hopes to improve democracy.

"This is a historic opportunity to strengthen our democracy and our country for generations to come," says Nathan. "The key to making this process a success is getting the best ideas and input from citizens across the country, and especially here at home in the Northwest."
