Local accountants help with personal tax tips at clinics hosted by Cullen

SMITHERS –Several local accounting firms in Prince Rupert, Terrace, Kitimat and Smithers are teaming up with Skeena-Bulkley Valley MP Nathan Cullen next week to help make 2013 personal income tax preparation as painless as possible.

“These tax professionals are generously donating their time at tax tips clinics we are hosting to walk people through recent changes to tax rules, federal tax credits, and other general questions that people often have,” Cullen said.

Have questions about how to file your taxes by mail or electronically?  Wondering what new taxation rules could affect you and your family?  Want to know how you might benefit from federal tax credits such as the Disability Tax Credit, Working Income Tax Credit, Public Transit Credit or Children’s Arts and Fitness credits?

The clinics are free, open to everyone and light refreshments will be served.

Locations and times are as follows:

Prince Rupert, with Alan K. Hooper, CA Sunday, Jan 19, 1-3pm Northwest Community College
